AP targets ₹3,572.92 cr rural & urban road network

The state of Andhra Pradesh has set aside $3,572.92 crore for the construction of new roads as well as the upgrading and restoration of existing roads. According to an official spokesperson, 2,500 crore will be spent on R&B roads and 1,072.92 crore on panchayat raj roads. The Chief Minister has directed the R&B and panchayat raj departments to begin road restoration work immediately, with the goal of completing it within a year and demonstrating progress under the Nadu-Nedu programme. Officials must complete land acquisition for the Bengaluru-Vijayawada, Khammam-Devarapalli, Madanapalle-Pileru, Renigunta-Naidupeta, Muddanuru-B Kothapalli-Gorantla, Tadipatri-Muddanuru, Mydukuru-Porumamilla-Itarampuram-Malakonda-Singarayakonda The CM also informed officials that the government would pursue seven projects aimed at improving road connectivity between neighbouring states. Bengaluru-Chennai, Chittoor-Chennai, Raipur-Visakhapatnam, Sholapur-Kurnool, Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam, and Nagapur-Vijayawada were among the routes.
