Shri Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, has declared that the building of the 29-kilometer, four-lane Jaunpur Bypass (Package-1) in Uttar Pradesh has been approved. The ₹1,894.76 crore project will be built on National Highway 135A between Jaunpur and Akbarpur. Gadkari highlighted that the bypass will provide connection to many national highways and ease traffic congestion in Jaunpur city. By implementing it, road users should see a reduction in travel time and a more seamless and secure traffic flow. To improve regional connectivity, the project also features a sizable bridge across the Ganga.
