The new Bengaluru-Pune highway is being built by the MSRDC and NHAI, at an investment of 50,000 crores. From the Pune Ring Road to Muthagadahalli on the Satellite Ring Road in Bengaluru, the expressway will travel through Kanjale and span 12 districts. When the six-lane motorway is finished, it will guarantee that travel between two cities takes roughly 6 hours and boost vehicle speed to 120 km/h. The project’s preliminary survey is finished, and the final blueprint will shortly be delivered to NHAI. Starting in Pune, the expressway will pass via Satara, Sangli, Belagavi, Bagalkot, Gadag, Koppal, Vijayanagara, Davanagere, Chitradurga, and Tumkur before ending in Bengaluru. It will begin in Karnataka at Bommanal on the Maharashtra border in the Athani Taluk and proceed through, among other places, the districts of Athani (Belagavi), Jamakhandi, Bagalkot, Mudhol, Badami (Bagalkot), Nargund, and Ron (Gadag). In cooperation with the National Highway Authority of India, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC) will commission the project (NHAI). The current driving time between Pune and Bangalore is 14 to 15 hours, covering a distance of 842.1 kilometres.
