Terex brand Franna hosts first ever Open Day in India

Around 300 customers and dealers from all over India, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Middle East attended an Open Day at the Terex India site in Hosur to learn more about Franna products, Terex’s plans for Franna, and the Hosur facility. Franna® is the market leader in mobile pick-and-carry cranes.

The visitors had the chance to tour the cutting-edge Terex facilities and, more crucially, received a close-up look at the brand-new Franna FR-17 Crane and the prototype of an intriguing new capacity range. Additionally, they had the opportunity to view Terex’s extensive line of crushing, screening, washing, and recycling products.

The Franna crane’s safety and ability to lift high loads are its key USPs. The recently released model promises a much higher level of safety up to 25%. The FR 17 is the first Franna pick and carry crane produced domestically at the Terex site in Hosur, and it combines great productivity with improved safety measures. The FR 17 gives operators the flexibility and agility to accommodate a variety of lifting applications with a maximum rated capacity of 17 tonnes. In the Indian market, this 4WD crane is offered with front outriggers and is built for clutch-free operation. On request by the customer, this equipment also includes a dragging winch and a man basket attachment.

“We are thrilled to see that our first-ever open house for one of our key brands’ showcase has been embraced so warmly,” said Jaideep Shekhar, MD of Terex India. India is one of the main markets for cranes, thus Franna’s expansion here with this new launch is proof of how significant a market it is to us.

A pick and carry mobile crane from Franna’s product line called the FR 17 was created especially for the Indian market and higher lifting capacity applications. Franna pick and carry cranes live up to its name with the power and simplicity to lift huge loads and the flexibility of the articulated steering to manoeuvre in confined places. They arrive at the jobsite swiftly thanks to their fast road speeds. Due to the machine’s huge torque converter and lack of a clutch pedal, operating the crane for extended periods of time causes less driver fatigue. This crane gives the operator the capacity to lift and manoeuvre in small places while combining safety, comfort, and smooth steering.
