NHAI invites bids for ₹4,994 cr six-lane Bridge in Bihar

In order to build a 14.52-km long, six-lane bridge over the Ganga between Sherpur in Danapur and Dighwara in Saran district, an investment of $4,994.79 crore has been requested by the National Highway Authority of India. It is the ninth bridge across the river that divides Bihar into two parts, according to Alka Upadhyay, chairman of the National Highways Authority of India. The 9.45 km bridge will have a 5.07 km approach road, and the NHAI has already set aside money to build it. The bridge will have ramps at Gangahara in the riverine areas between the streams of the Ganga, and construction is expected to be finished in the next three years.

By March of next year, the Patna-Dobhi section of the NH would be finished. The new bridge’s tender evaluation process will be finished by NHAI by the end of September of this year, according to Nitin Nabin, the state of Bihar’s minister for road construction.
