The National Highways Authority of India has released tenders for the building of seven national highways with a total length of 229 km and an investment of 12,604 crore, with a two-year completion period. Three additional 118-km-long NHs will cost 2,097 crore, and the deadline for tender submission is September 19.
With regard to two sections of NH roads, including the recently announced 227-F NH with a length of 34.56 km between Chorma and Bairgania and 139-W NH with a length of 44 km costing 1,269 crore, as well as the new six-lane Sherpur-Dighwara bridge across the Ganga parallel to J P Setu, the empowered officials of the state government had a discussion with the Union transport minister.
