NHAI launches Kazhakoottam-Paripally NH project in Kerala

The Kazhakoottam-Paripally NH 66 has begun widening work, and the National Highways Authority of India has given the land to the contractor RDS Limited.

The soil testing process is finished, and since the landowners themselves are doing the demolition, the process of acquiring the land needed for the highway widening is now well underway. Most of the obstacles to the development of the 29-km long NH at the Thiruvananthapuram-Kollam border have been removed, according to P Pradeep, project director for the National Highway Authority of India.

The Attingal bypass will be 11.15 km long and include 4 flyovers, 36 culverts, 6 minor bridges, 3 vehicular overpasses, 5 vehicular underpasses, 6 light vehicle underpasses, 4 small vehicular underpasses, 3 cattle underpasses, a 7 m wide service road, 20 bus bays, and 5 foot over bridges. Two years after construction work begins is the projected time for project completion.
