The elevated Metro Line-6 (Swami Samarth Nagar – Jogeshwari – Vikhroli), which runs between Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road and the Eastern Express Highway, is ready to begin construction work, according to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
With a height of 38 metres when it is completed, it will be the city’s tallest elevated metro line; in contrast, other Metro corridors are being constructed at a height of 16 metres on average. Kanjurmarg will be the tallest station along the Metro 6 route, rising to a height of about 30 mt, or about the height of a 10-story building. The Metro 6 corridor will be 20 mt above the ground, above the LBS Marg, the JVLR, and the upcoming Metro 4 Wadala-Kasarvadavali line. At the intersection, both of these metro lines will have stations that are connected by a footbridge.
