On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fly to Karnataka for a two-day visit to launch and lay the foundation stone for a slew of rail and road infrastructure projects costing more than Rs 27,000 crore.
The Prime Minister will visit the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru on Monday at 12:30 p.m., where he will inaugurate the Centre for Brain Research (CBR) and lay the foundation stone for the Bagchi-Parthasarathy Multispeciality Hospital, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Centre is being built as a one-of-a-kind research facility with the goal of undertaking critical research in order to develop evidence-based public health strategies to treat age-related brain illnesses.
During the event, he will also lay the foundation stone for the Bagchi Parthasarathy Multispeciality Hospital, which will have 832 beds. The hospital will be built on the IISc Bengaluru campus and will assist the premier institute integrate science, engineering, and medicine.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP), which will connect Bengaluru city with its suburbs and satellite townships, in order to improve mobility and connectivity in Bengaluru. The project, estimated to cost over Rs 15,700 crore, will consist of four corridors with a total route length of over 148 kilometres.
The Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for the redevelopment of Bengaluru Cantt. and Yesvantpur Junction railway stations, which will cost roughly Rs 500 crore and Rs 375 crore, respectively.
At approximately 1:45 p.m., he will visit Bengaluru’s Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE), where he will launch the university’s new campus and unveil a statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar.
He will also dedicate 150 ‘Technology Hubs’ to the nation, which were created by modernising Karnataka’s Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
Many industry partners support this one-of-a-kind venture, which cost about Rs 4600 crore to build. Its goal is to develop a trained workforce to meet the demands of Industry 4.0. These Technology Hubs will provide high-skill training in cutting-edge technology and increase job and entrepreneurship options for ITI graduates through a variety of innovative courses.
PM Modi will then arrive in Bengaluru at 2:45 p.m., where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for numerous rail and road infrastructure projects valued over Rs 27000 crore.
The Prime Minister will then attend a public celebration at Maharaja’s College Ground in Mysuru at 5:30 p.m., where he will lay the foundation stone for the Naganahalli Railway Station Coaching Terminal, which would cost over Rs 480 crore.
The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation India’s first air-conditioned railway station, Sir M Visvesvaraya Railway Station at Baiyappanahalli, which was built on the lines of a contemporary airport at a cost of roughly Rs 315 crore.
In addition, he will lay the cornerstone for two parts of the Bengaluru Ring Road project. The project, which would cost more than Rs 2280 crore to build, will assist to alleviate traffic congestion in the city.
The Coaching terminal will also include a MEMU shed, which will help to decongest the present Mysuru Yard, allowing additional MEMU train services and long-distance trains to depart from Mysuru, thus enhancing the region’s connectivity and tourism potential. This would be beneficial to both daily commuters and those travelling to long-distance locations.
The Prime Minister will also dedicate the ‘Centre of Excellence for Persons with Communication Disorders’ at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing to the country during the occasion (AIISH). It has cutting-edge laboratories and equipment for the diagnosis, evaluation, and rehabilitation of people who have communication disorders.
PM Modi will then visit Sri Suttur Math in Mysuru at around 7 p.m., followed by Sri Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru at around 7:45 p.m.
On the seventh International Day of Yoga (IDY), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in a Mass Yoga Demonstration at Mysore Palace Ground in Mysuru at 6:30 a.m. with thousands of others.
Along with the Prime Minister’s Yoga Demonstration in Mysore, the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav will be combined with the 8th IDY celebrations. Mass Yoga demonstrations will be held in 75 famous locations across the country under the guidance of 75 Union Ministers.
Various educational, social, political, cultural, religious, corporate, and other civil society organisations will also hold Yoga demonstrations, which will be attended by millions of people across the country.
The Prime Minister’s Yoga programme in Mysuru is also a part of the unique ‘Guardian Yoga Ring,’ which is a collaborative effort with 79 countries and UN organisations, as well as Indian Missions around the world, to demonstrate Yoga’s unifying force that transcends national boundaries.
The Mass Yoga Demonstrations in the participating countries will appear to be happening one after the other, almost in unison, as the sun appears to move from east to west around the globe, underscoring the theme of ‘One Sun, One Earth’. On June 21, from 3 a.m. IST (telecast from Fiji) until 10 p.m. IST (telecast from San Francisco, USA), this groundbreaking show will be broadcast live on DD India.
The Prime Minister’s programme in Mysuru will be broadcast live on DD India starting at 6:30 a.m. IST as part of the programme.
Every year on June 21, the International Day of Yoga (IDY) has been observed around the world since 2015.
“Yoga for Humanity” is the topic for this year’s Yoga Day. The subject depicts how Yoga helped humanity during the Covid Pandemic by easing misery.
