Tata Power, an electric-vehicle charging infrastructure provider, has partnered with Maharashtra’s National Real Estate Development Council (Naredco) to install up to 5,000 EV charging points across its member’s developer properties in a major push toward green mobility. In the presence of Aaditya Thackeray, Maharashtra’s Minister of Tourism and Environment, the MoU was signed at The Real Estate Forum 2022 in Mumbai. The move will help the state’s electric vehicle adoption.
Tata Power will offer a complete EV charging solution to Naredco’s member developers. This will include charging station installation, maintenance, and upgrades as needed. Through Tata Power’s EZ charge mobile app, EV owners across Naredco’s member developers’ properties will have access to 24 hour vehicle charging, monitoring, and e-payments. The collaboration is a huge step forward in Maharashtra’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and accelerate e-mobility adoption.

Depending on the nature of the premises, these chargers will be made available as public/semi-public charging stations. This will make charging stations more accessible to commuters, encouraging them to use electric vehicles.
Tata Power is a pioneer in the installation of electric vehicle charging points in India, with a presence in all segments of the EV charging eco-system, including public charging, captive charging, and home and workplace charging stations. Tata Power EZ Charge is a mobile application that allows users to find electric vehicle charging stations, charge their vehicles, and pay their bills online. Chargers of all types, including DC and AC chargers, have been deployed. Through various collaborations, the company is driving e-mobility infrastructure. To set up and improve the EV charging infrastructure, Tata Power has already partnered with Apollo Tyres, HPCL, TVS Motors, am Stays & Trails, Lodha Group, Rustomjee, Enviro, and others.
In Maharashtra, the company has installed over 500 public and semi-public charging stations, as well as over 1500 public EV charging stations in various cities.
