Bentley & Google Partner to Improve Infrastructure with Asset Analytics

Bentley Systems has introduced new asset analytics capabilities that use Imagery Insights from Google Maps Platform to quickly detect and analyze roadway conditions. The new capabilities in Bentley’s Blyncsy product offering, which applies AI to crowdsourced imagery for automated roadway asset detection and inspection, will help infrastructure professionals improve roadway maintenance and support.

Bentley and Google announced a strategic partnership in October 2024 to integrate Google’s high-quality geospatial content with Bentley’s infrastructure engineering software to improve the way infrastructure is designed, built, and operated. The disaster recovery unique Imagery Insights combination of Google Street View, Vertex.

AI, and Blyncsy will enhance the ability of departments of transportation to identify areas of concern and analyze changes in the condition of roadway and transportation assets over time. These capabilities can also aid in disaster recovery efforts, providing a cost-effective solution for conducting rapid damage.

Bentley Asset Analytics, a portfolio of products that generates insights into the assessments, which can help affected communities rebuild faster condition of existing infrastructure assets to optimize their performance, will be generally available in Blyncsy in 2025.

Bentley Systems, a leader in infrastructure engineering software, has partnered with Google to enhance infrastructure management through advanced asset analytics. Announced at Google Cloud Next 2025, this collaboration integrates Bentley’s Blyncsy platform with Google’s geospatial and AI technologies to revolutionize roadway inspections and maintenance.

Enhanced Asset Analytics with AI and Geospatial Imagery

The partnership combines Bentley’s expertise in infrastructure software with Google’s high-quality geospatial content and AI capabilities. By leveraging Google Street View’s panoramic imagery and Vertex AI, the integrated solution allows for rapid detection and analysis of roadway conditions. This enables infrastructure professionals to perform automated asset detection and inspections, improving roadway maintenance and supporting disaster recovery efforts.
