According to Gartner, 75% of corporate data is created and processed at the edge. With the deployment of 5G, IoT, video streaming, AR/VR applications, consumers outside of Tier 1 cities will seek faster access to applications, websites, OTT content, and more. Conventional energy sources contribute to CO2 emissions, so clean energy must be integrated as part of CtrlS’s business strategy to ensure that its carbon footprint is eliminated. CtrlS plans to deploy around 500 edge data centers in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India and expand its global footprint by integrating clean energy.

Guru said: “I am delighted to see the tremendous amount of work CtrlS has done through 80 innovations in energy efficiency and sustainability. The company has a strong focus on clean energy, edge and sustainability. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of CtrlS – This is a dream company working in the data center industry.”
