Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Microsoft India have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a regulated industry-focused cloud offering to provide customers with best-in-class cloud computing and infrastructure services. Under emerging regulations, L&T and Microsoft will work together with select large customers in regulated domains to develop architectures and roadmaps to modernize their legacy data centers to enable a potential hybrid model and advance their digital transformation goals.
Under the MoU, the two industry leaders will form a joint governance group to define future platform designs, investments and business/business models to meet emerging technology needs in regulated industries. As the association grows, the senior leadership teams of both organizations will be involved in this effort.

Under current norms, the MoU will focus on attracting customers from Indian jurisdictions, with the potential to expand this partnership to other jurisdictions in the future, as the two companies have agreed. In due course, L&T and Microsoft will consider possible partnership structures to continue working together to implement this MoU.
