Mahindra Logistics (MLL), one of India’s largest third-party logistics (3PL) solution providers, and LOGOS, a leading logistics specialist in the Asia-Pacific region, announced a long-term lease agreement with 1.4 million square feet (mmsf) of warehouses in the region facility. LOGOS Luhari Logistics Park in Delhi-NCR. The transaction represents India’s largest storage facility in a single park.
According to the agreement, LOGOS will develop three Class A warehouses with a total area of 1.4 mmsf for MLL in LOGOS Luhari Logistics Estate. The first 0.5mmsf warehouse was completed in mid-2021 and is now fully operational. The other two warehouses are currently under development and will be delivered at the end of 2021 and early 2022, respectively.
The new warehouse will be an important part of MLL’s pan-India multi-customer facility network for managing the fulfillment and distribution of customer services in the e-commerce, consumer goods and engineering industries. These facilities are designed to meet MLL’s sustainability standards, including liquid discharge management and renewable energy and waste management requirements, as well as state-of-the-art automation. MLL will employ more than 2,500 employees and third-party employees in these facilities.
According to LOGOS and MLL’s commitment to sustainable development, the estate will incorporate market-leading sustainability and environmental initiatives, including a 20-acre Miyawaki forest plantation, solar power generation and warehouse distribution, and public infrastructure energy supply. The manor will also use the most advanced monitoring to measure the storage air circulation, temperature, energy and water consumption, and combine the operation control of the heat map of the movement of trucks and people throughout the property, which will affect the design requirements of the future logistics park.
