Ingka Centres is part of the Ingka Group, which also includes IKEA Retail and Ingka Investments. It will invest approximately 35 billion rupees, totaling 400 million euros, to build a 130,000 square meter mixed-use development project in Gurgaon. The project is called the “gathering place” and construction is about to start, and it is expected to receive more than 20 million people every year. Ingka Centers stated that entering India is part of its strategy to expand into new markets and shape a retail-oriented destination portfolio suitable for its future business expansion.

The Ingka Centers 52nd meeting place will be developed under the new Livat brand and will provide hotels, food and beverages, educational and entertaining learning spaces, and a wide range of retail products based on IKEA stores.
The company said it will work closely with local authorities to facilitate and direct access to the subway.
