Volvo CE introduces three new electric machines, the L120, L90, and EWR150, aiming to support fossil-free ambitions and reduce emissions in construction equipment. Volvo Days 2024 introduced cleaner, smarter options for customers seeking decarbonization, lower costs, new business opportunities, and a comfortable working environment. Volvo CE introduces electric solutions ranging from 15-20 tons, enabling customers to work in low carbon zones, noise-sensitive areas, indoors, and outside standard working hours.
The machines offer a cost-effective, efficient solution for modern worksites, reducing energy costs, maintenance, and engine-related consumables, while providing better performance and reducing noise and vibrations. VCE, the European leader in electromobility sales, is introducing three medium-sized zero-emission innovations, all benefiting from their industry-leading electric technology, to further drive sustainable change across various equipment types and sizes. The 20-tonne L120 electric wheel loader, with a 6-tonne lifting capacity, is a versatile tool suitable for construction sites, ports, waste management, urban infrastructure maintenance, and agriculture and forestry.
The L120 Electric can work five to nine hours on a single charge, and can charge from 10-100% in one hour with a fast charger or PU500 mobile power unit. The L120 Electric is set to be introduced in select markets across Europe, Region International, India, Asia, Latin America, and North America in Q4, 2024. The 15-tonne L90 electric wheel loader is a versatile solution suitable for various industrial, agricultural, mining, and waste management tasks.
