The second section of the Dharmveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Coastal Road, which connects Worli and Marine Drive, was officially opened by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The 6.25 kilometer tunnel, which runs from Haji Ali to Amarsons, will reduce the 40–50 minute travel time between Worli and Marine Drive to only 8 minutes. This tunnel was built with the aid of cutting-edge technologies.
The northbound portion of the coastal road, which opened in March and presently serves traffic between Worli and Marine Drive, connects with the southbound arm, which is open from 7 am to 11 pm on weekdays.
