It has been claimed that OpenAI’s AI-powered chatbot, ChatGPT, is beginning to enable Google Drive integration. Numerous ChatGPT Enterprise users have reported that the chatbot may now link to Google Drive, as per a 9To5Google post.
According to the article, ChatGPT is informing users that linking applications to the platform is now possible during a discussion. them may link their Google Drive and OneDrive accounts by selecting the “Connect Apps” option from the file attachment menu. This will take them to a second page. However, only a restricted group of paid-tier Enterprise users may presently utilise this functionality.
The option to “Add from Google Drive” appears in the file attachment menu of the chat box once the user has linked their Google Drive account to ChatGPT. The new choice opens to a file picker on the associated Google Drive, same like when you upload a file or document to ChatGPT, where it opens to a local folder.
Although OpenAI has not formally announced the function, it appears that it is already available to a small number of users, raising the possibility that it may soon be made available to all users.
During its yearly developers’ conference, I/O, Google revealed enhanced Gemini AI support for workplace apps, such as Google Drive. While OpenAI gives its users more alternatives with its ChatGPT platform by integrating Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, Google’s integration of Gemini extends much further into its Workspace apps. Google is making Gemini more accessible with a new side-panel. This enables smooth navigation within the Workspace app ecosystem, which also includes Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more.
