The 111-km Jiribim-Imphal Railway Line in Manipur would have 52 tunnels between Jiribim and Imphal in addition to Noney Bridge, the highest pier railway bridge in the world. The bridge is 703 metres long and 141 metres high. Once everything is finished, the project will have cut down travel time from 10 to 12 hours to 2.5 hours.

It will also feature 129 small bridges, 101 of which have already been finished, and 11 big bridges. Six of the 11 planned stations along the train line have already been built. The new Jiribam-Imphal rail route will boost tourism and economic growth throughout the whole Northeastern region of the nation.
